Taking the boys out to the park…

Meet Isaiah and Kali’i, two adorable sons of Brandon and Keao. This was just a quick little mini session so to speak since the family had plans of visiting the annual Okinawan Festival at Kapiolani Park. I thought it would be a good time to see how the boys react and interact with each other. As soon as we got to the park, Isaiah was so excited; he ran in the open field, only to step in a pile of mud and……. slip. And, it wasn’t a little fall to the ground, it was more he was a MLB player stealing second base. Just like that, there was mud on his back, shorts, legs and slippers. It was everywhere. I got ONE photo off before the gravity stricken event happened. Mommy had to walk Isaiah back to the car to change into his spare clothes, so I decided to get a few shots of Kali’i and daddy. We’ll be doing a full family session soon but for now, enjoy these.

Ashley & Abe | Hawaii Engagement Photography

Simple. Cute. Playful and Romantic. That sums up Ash and Abe. They are pretty adorable if you ask me. These two have been dating for years, but decided to wait until Ashley was done with school before making it official. In fact, Ashley just got her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University last month, which is pretty awesome. School is now done, so wedding planning is gonna take the front seat for the next few months. Ashley and Abe are pretty outdoorsy, lots of hiking and spending time with nature, so it was appropriate to do some in the trails and parks of beautiful Hawaii. We started at Diamond Head, worked our way around some greenery and had some fun.

Ekolu and family | Honolulu, Hawaii Family Portraits

Janine, Hiram and Ekolu decided to start this family session at the Honolulu Zoo in Waikiki. Little Ekolu was our official tour guide and happily showed us the ropes around the entire zoo. Once done, we decided to stop by Kapiolani Park for a few shots of the ohana before Ekolu got to let loose and run into the ocean. Once we grabbed the mandatory family portraits, the shirt came off and he was off into the water with the biggest smile. Of course, sand is what makes the beach so fun, and yes, Ekolu got his fill of sand too! Take a peek at the images below. I love the last photo!

Brutus the Blue Nose | Pet Photography

While I was in Hawaii this past weekend to shoot a wedding, I also had another photo session for a cute 3 month old puppy named Brutus. This little Blue Nose Pitbull is so adorable; in fact, very cute. We had this little mini session at the beautiful Kapiolani Park in Waikiki. He came trotting in full of energy, but after an hour of shooting, this poor little guy was pooped. In fact, it was his first trip to the park, so there was a lot of excitement and new things for him. He discovered the cheapest dog toy available…a stick. Yes, this little guy was so happy to play fetch, you could see the spring in his little run as he bounced in the green grass. It was a fun little session and playing with him makes me wanna get another puppy… Look below and see how sweet this little guy is…
