• Aloha and welcome to the blog

This is supposed to be where you can keep up with some of my latest work and see images and projects I am working on. However, I need to improve on keeping this blog somewhat current. Sometimes it looks like my blog is withering off to Never Never Land. Posting images and writing blog content is NOT one of my strengths, so please forgive me for not keeping you all up to date. I am often in Honolulu and Los Angeles shooting for some amazing people, pets and organizations. Feel free to shoot me an email at 105,110,102,111,64,103,97,121,108,97,101,108,105,122,97,98,101,116,104,46,99,111,109,46.moc.htebazilealyag@ofni

I love the artistry of photography and am ridiculously attracted to images that speak volumes with no text. I've photographed celebrities, entrepreneurs, artists, products, food, real estate, moms, dads, brides, grooms, babies, pets and more. If it exists, I will shoot it. Follow this blog for a mix of everything and feel free to visit my portfolio on the "official" photography site www.GaylaElizabeth.com.

So, I did make it through Friday the 13th just fine, but I did not make it to the theaters as I thought, which meant no movies for me, just work. I thought I would post images from last week’s wedding of Christina & Tony. Okay, it’s actually all about Christina in this post. Sorry Tony, the wedding pictures will be up shortly, but I wanted to show some pre-ceremony, getting ready pictures. You can see Christina as she preps for her big day and how beautiful she looked when it was all said and done.

Here she is……. getting ready to get the works done!

1-738PINIMAGEIt’s all about the hair…

Then it’s hair AND makeup:-)

getting ready to get in the dress…

And, here she is… all done up.

And, here’s one with the groom… Here they are.. THE NEWLYWEDS!

I woke up this morning to beautiful sunshine and gorgeous weather and it looks like it will be a fine day, despite the whole Friday the 13th stigma. I guess you could say I am superstitious when it comes to certain things, but this is not one of them. You won’t catch me walking under a ladder or breaking a mirror that’s for sure! I tend to believe that people are more cautious than ever on Friday the 13th, making it safer than Friday the 12th or Friday the 6th. Just my opinion. I’m thinking about seeing a movie tonight and a great spooky movie would just be so appropriate. But, knowing me, if I do in fact make it to the theaters, I will most likely see SEX & THE CITY. Gotta love those girls.

Well, I hope everyone has a safe, fun and great Friday the 13th!

I’ve just got back from a whirl wind of events and am trying to get caught up and back on track. Here are some images from a wedding a few weeks back in Rancho Palos Verdes. Originally, the weather forecast was to expect rain and thunderstorms all weekend. So when the skies cleared early that afternoon and we ended up with beautiful sunshine, blue skies and white fluffy clouds, I was a happy camper. It turned out to be a gorgeous day!

So, maybe it wasn’t a paid shoot and she has no idea who I am, but I got a picture of her in concert and that means I shot Cher! LOL. Anyway, I went to Vegas this past weekend for a quick, quick getaway to see my family. It was a last minute thing; my aunt who lives in Hawaii called and was hoping I could come out to visit with them for the weekend since they would be there until Sunday. I passed on Friday because I just have so much work to do, but I changed my mind and decided to go Saturday morning. I always love to see my family whenever I can and Vegas is just an added bonus, so I decided to go. I got in on Saturday at 5:30pm, just in time for her 8:00 sold out show. Yes, not an empty seat in the house. Well, it started at 8:30 and she made quite the entrance. I have never seen Cher live before, never been a fan, but I can say that after seeing her perform live, she is a performer who puts out a great show. Very entertaining. The costumes and production was awesome. I drove back on Sunday, so I was there for just over 24 hours, but it was great to see my family and have a quick break. It was worth it. Cher won’t be back until August for those of you who are interested.

This is from my iphone, so this is as good as it gets.
