Sex and The City was a super hit series by HBO starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. This was my first HBO series I got addicted to and just fell in love with. While I don’t watch much TV, there are a few shows that I made time for to escape my reality. Sex and The City was one of those shows that you could kick your feet up and just have some great laughs for 30 minutes. All four characters are the perfect mix and while the title SEX and THE CITY might imply it’s just about sex, it’s so much more. Really. It’s about friendships, love and life in general, with a girl’s twist. When I first heard the series was coming off air, I was a little bummed, because I thought they could’ve kept going for a little longer, but I know that all good things must come to an end.
. So, I dealt with it and bought each season on DVD as they came out to pacify my needs.
I was gonna miss hearing that opening song…. you know, da.da.dada….da.da.dada…dada.dada.dada.dada…..Yah, that one. :-)
However, when I heard they were making a movie, I was thrilled, but a little skeptical. I wasn’t sure how they were going to pull off making a 30 minute series into a full feature film. Well, not only did they pull it off, they made a blockbuster. The movie was a huge hit! (I mean it brought it over $152 million dollars at the box office). You can see the sales posted here. I enjoyed that movie so much, I bought it on blu-ray..
So, that brings me to today, May 27th, 2010. Sex and The City 2 is coming to theaters!!! Hollah people. You can see the trailer by clicking here. I’m looking forward to seeing Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda rock it again on the big screen. I thought I’d post a few pics of my SATC DVD collection.
