Ok, it’s more than a new logo. It’s the new brand and identity for Gayla Elizabeth Photography and I am so excited to finally share it with everyone. Just thrilled! I mean warm and fuzzy thrilled. Can you see me smiling through your monitor right now? If not, look at this little smiley face
and multiply it by 100x! Yes, that’s how happy I am about the new brand. I decided to come up with a tag line that represents both myself AND my photography. Hence the saying …. LOVE….LAUGH…SMILE. It says everything about me, everything that happens during my photo shoots and of course it’s the emotions that people have when they get the final images from me. I give people images that they love, images that make you laugh and of course images that make you smile (both on your face and on your heart). I’m not your traditional photographer, I don’t ask you to smile. All you have to do is just love and laugh, the smiles will come naturally! So, those three little words now define both my photography and myself. WOOT! Anyway, that is the theory and concept behind the new tag line. LOVE. LAUGH.SMILE.
Now, onto the actual logo. I was never really happy with my previous logo, since there really wasn’t anything about it, other than a couple initials. It was more of a monogram, something that you might find on a fancy hand towel! LOL. I just never felt really connected to it, but I hoped it would grow on me and stick. Well, it never happened, so it was time to come up with a new one. The new logo is of course my initials, but it also has a few subtle symbols hidden in it. For one, the GE forms an open heart for the LOVE…. The inner circle represents a face (very loose representation! haha) and the outer circle with the little line between the G and E represents a smile. That means the logo itself says the key words…. LOVE .LAUGH.SMILE.
So, this is change #2 for the week. The first was the new home for this blog at www.gaylaelizabethblog.com. And, here it the official new logo. The blog is still in it’s remodeling phases, so things may seem a little disarray, but it is a work in progress. Stay tuned for more. The new website will be launching later this week. Saawweeeet!
