The day was whizzing by and I had a desk full of paperwork, a stack of photo sessions to get online and a lunch that was getting cold on my desk. I’m in my office and as I turned around, I see my Gaylynn standing there with arms wide open and the biggest smile you could imagine. We hugged, talked, laughed and got the 411 on everything. After about an hour of talking [and working on those online photo sessions] she told me had a philadelphia sushi roll at the nearby mall for lunch. When she told me that, I had to take her to the best sushi place in the Valley. Edo Sushi. They have the freshest sushi and make a great tempura roll called LAS VEGAS roll. I mean, come on, how could you go wrong with a name like that? Anything with the word Vegas in it has my vote! Both her and her boyfriend were game for it, so we made plans to meet them there for dinner at 7:45. They headed out and made their way to Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd for some shopping since her boyfriend Reno is a drummer.
We had a great dinner; chatted, laughed and stuffed ourselves silly. Soon after our dessert came, we realized we had to get going to the movie theater, since we decided to see Paranormal Activity at the 9:25 showing. We gobbled down our ice cream and headed to the theater in hopes of a good scare. 2 hours later, we were standing in the parking lot saying goodbye again.
I gave her a tight hug, a kiss on the cheek and off they went. She’ll be flying out of LAX this afternoon and heading back to Honolulu.
I miss her already!
